Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2017

NORWAY

We are happy to announce that the 2017 Banff Mountain Film Festival world tour will be coming north to Lofoten for the first time.

First held in 1976, The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival takes place in the late autumn every year in Banff, Alberta. After the festival is over, a selection of the best films are selected for the World Tour, across 20 countries and over 300 cities. Leknes, in the heart of Lofoten, is now one of them.

The world tour is being hosted on Lofoten in cooperation with Meieret Kino, DNT Fjellsport Lofoten, and 68 North. All profits made from the event will be donated to local organizations to help with needed infrastructure and to bring awareness about protecting the fragile nature of Lofoten.
